Worth was the oldest child of William Samuel and Martha Mead. Little is known about him except that he lived in Lawton, Oklahoma for several years and later moved to California. In 1937, he gave a description of his early life in Paucanla, Indian Territory to the Oklahoma University Pioneer Program which was part of the WPA projects. His description of the primitive life the Mead family lived in Paucanla is intriguing. He and Annie Belle had one child, Fred Mead.
