“Bird,” “Bob” and “Billy” Mead were brothers and sons of Mary Ann Price Mead and Robert David Mead. They moved from Arkansas after the Civil War and the death of their father. All followed the ranching business and lived close to one another most of their lives. Bird and Sally Ann had two children, Ada Elizabeth and Inez.
